How to Apply Vinyl Decals

Follow these instructions for the best possible application of your AwkBug Studios vinyl decal.

STEP 1

Clean the surface you’ll be applying the decal to with rubbing alcohol or soap & water. This removes grease, dust, or residue to assure the decal stays stuck. 

STEP 2

Prepare the decal for application by firmly rubbing a squeedgee or credit card across the plastic, red grid transfer tape side up. 

STEP 3

Gently peel the clear plastic backing sheet off the back of the decal. Your decal should be stuck to the red grid transfer tape, and the sticky side should be exposed. If any pieces of the decal cling to the clear backing, slowly replace the grid transfer tape and repeat step 2.

STEP 4

Lower the decal & transfer tape onto the surface & rub firmly with a squeedgee or credit card. Carefully peel the transfer tape away at an angle, and admire your freshly-applied decal!
