FAQ

How do I order gear?

I have a limited number of gear order slots open per month. To get started & inquire about work availability, please fill out the contact form on the Gear Inquiries page. I’ll get back to you via email.

I do not answer order inquiries via DM on my social media accounts. No exceptions.

What’s your full ordering process?
  1. Fill out the contact form on my website. I’ll email you back and we’ll begin the process to get you a quote.
  2. If you agree to the quoted price, I’ll send you an official invoice (includes shipping cost)
  3. Send the required deposit to reserve your spot & begin your order.
  4. Be patient! I’ll let you know when your order is ready to ship. I do not send progress photos while working on gear orders, and I do not respond to requests for progress updates.
  5. Once your order is finished: Confirm your shipping address and pay any outstanding balance that is due on your order.
  6. Your gear will be on it’s way!
Do you create custom gear designs?

Yes! Fill out the contact form with your design idea and I can send you a quote for design pricing. Custom designs are a separate fee from gear production fees.

How much do you charge for custom gear?

You can find approximate pricing for commonly ordered pieces on the Pricing page. However, each order requires an individual quote due to the varying complexity of gear designs.

How much money is due up front for an order?

Orders of less than $200 must be paid in full before starting an order. For orders more than $200, a deposit of minimum of half the total order price is required up front. Any remaining money is due upon completion of the project and must be sent to me before I will mail your gear.

How long will it take to make my gear?

Turn-around time is generally 8-10 weeks from date of payment & receipt of measurements (not from date of first contact or accepting the order). If you have a specific deadline in mind that falls within the 10 week range, let me know when ordering so I can try my best to accommodate that deadline. I will let you know before payment if I can guarantee arrival by that date.

Completion time varies by project and by how many other orders I am currently juggling. Once a gear order is paid and in process, please be patient. I will not respond to requests for updates on your project. Please respect that gear making is a labor-intensive creative job, and quality gear takes time.

Do you accept rush orders?

I accept rush orders on a case-by-case basis. I do not accept orders with a deadline of less than 3 weeks. No exceptions. Rush delivery fees start at $75, and can cost more depending on the scope of the order.

Please note: rush delivery fees must be explicitly discussed and are only accepted when I know I have time to complete the order by a given deadline. DO NOT simply send an extra sum of money and expect it to be put toward a rush fee. If I tell you I don’t have time to accept a rush order request, do not continue to push the subject. This is incredibly disrespectful to both my time and my other clients.

I already have a set of gear that I like, and I want you to make my new gear EXACTLY the same! Can you do that?

Custom gear is a handmade product, so no two pieces will ever be exactly alike. If I was the person who made the original gear, I likely still have your patterns.

I can replicate appliqué designs with a reasonable level of accuracy if you provide me with a full-size photocopy or good photograph of the design in question.

Please note: I do not create replicas of other wrestlers’ gear or masks. If the design does not belong to you, I will not accept the order.

Are there any designs you won’t put on gear?

YES! I will not knowingly accept gear orders that use symbols or text associated with any of the following:

  • Racism
  • Sexism
  • Homophobia or transphobia
  • Xenophobia
  • … or anything disparaging to any federally protected group.
  • Copyrighted images
  • Any design already in use by another wrestler

No, I don’t care if it’s “just a gimmick.”

If I find out during the process of completing an order that a requested design or symbol violates these conditions, your order will be terminated immediately without a refund. Please do your research.

Do you ship internationally?

No, at this time I can only ship to clients within the USA.

Is there any warranty on my custom gear?

There is a 4-match guarantee on all gear I make. If your gear has structural problems during the first four matches you wear it, I will repair it free of charge (shipping fees apply). Please Note: the 4-match guarantee only applies to structural damage from standard use (tears or ripped stitches from jumping, rolling, grappling, etc.), NOT damage due to foreign objects used during a match.

How do I wash handmade gear & masks?

Hand wash in cold or room-temperature water with mild (preferably unscented) laundry detergent. If spot cleaning is necessary, lightly scrub affected area with detergent and a soft toothbrush. Do not bleach, do not use fabric softeners. Hang dry or dry flat. Do not wring, do not machine dry.

Take care when washing your gear. Dark colors may bleed, light colors may stain. Certain materials will pill with abrasion, and metallic materials may dull with use and washing.

How should I store handmade gear & masks?

General storage: hang or store flat in a cool, dry place. Conditions of intense heat or sunlight can cause discoloration or warping. Do not leave folded for long periods of time, as this may cause permanent creasing or loss of hologram texture.

Post-match care: lay out or hang gear to dry as soon as possible after a match. If travel prevents immediate airing, place gear in a breathable (i.e. cotton or mesh) bag so as to not trap odors and allow to dry. DO NOT store in plastic bags.

Is it possible to get a refund on my gear?

Due to the bespoke nature of custom orders, returns and refunds are not available. I will happily alter garments if there is an issue with fit (shipping fees apply).
